Broughton Under Fives PreschoolProviding quality Early Years childcare for 30+ years
About Us
We are a small Preschool set in the rural village of Broughton, just outside of Kettering, Northamptonshire. As a Preschool we pride ourselves on our passion, knowledge and dedication to providing a high quality, stimulating learning environment both inside and out.
We believe that children deserve the best start to their education. We offer a safe, nurturing and happy environment that allows children to confidently explore their surroundings with the support of experienced Early Years practitioners.
Come Visit Us
We offer scheduled visits to our Preschool so that you can come and see what we have to offer in person. We can discuss in more detail what it is we do in a day and what kind of learning environment we provide for the children that attend.
Curriculum
We understand that all children develop at their own pace. We focus on the three prime areas of Communication and language, Physical development and Personal, social and emotional development. We also provide learning opportunities to develop in the four other specific areas as detailed in the Early Years Foundation Stage. These are Mathematics, Literacy, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design.
Communication and Language
Providing a language rich environment is an important part of what we do at Preschool. Opportunities to develop their communication and language through independent play and group activities so that children are confident in expressing their thoughts, feelings and needs in a variety of contexts.
Physical Development
Children are encouraged to take an active role in their learning. Developing control over their coordination and movement through indoor and outdoor activities. A big part of Preschool is encouraging independence in a range of everyday activties from selecting resources to self care.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
At our Preschool we feel the importance of supporting children in building strength and resiliance alongside a positive sense of themselves and others around them. We encourage positive behaviour and support children in learning skills to regulate and manage their own feelings and behaviour.
